This wonderful, affectionate 1 year old German Shepherd mix has come a long way from the streets of Ecuador where a volunteer found this gentle boy barely alive. Now only months later, Tommy is 'living the life' in a cozy apt right off Central Park West. Shy when he first arrived, Tommy has blossomed into a real social butterfly with not a mean word to say to anyone. Happy, friendly and full of goodwill, Tommy has become one of the best dogs we ever rescued. He's great with all people as well as other dogs and is smart, obedient, and loves to please. In the short time he has been with us, Tommy has had basic obedience training and lots of socialization and is now confident, healthy and housebroken. At 48 lbs, he's still a bit thin and can stand to gain another few lbs. With a steady diet of exercise and healthy food, that won't take long and we expect Tommy to hit 50 lbs any day now. Tommy is up to date on all his shots, has been neutered and de wormed and is ready to find his forever home.
