	Fufy She just turned three and she's happier than ever. We've done some training, so she's starting to understand some hand signals- You'd never know she is deaf. She has such a great spirit and she's the absolute love of our lives. ...
	Nadya Once we were there, it started to downpour (just my luck) well all of the dogs came into the Gazebo, but not Nadya, she had to do a few more laps...

	Cometa Today she is happy, healthy and and very attached to mama. She has a brother named Quito and they both love to play and chase each other in the garage...
	Coto Coto from Ecuador loves to hang out with the guys...
	Kali We recently took Kali on vacation to Cape May,NJ. She loved her rental home and enjoyed playing on the bay beach - although she was a bit hesitant around those large horseshoe crabs that washed up on shore! haha....
	Rayna We absolutely love sharing our lives with Rayna and thought Beth would get a kick out of how Rayna likes to sleep in the living room....
	Frankie She is still the love of our lives; very spoiled and living like a queen....
	Gabe The transition is complete! Who can resist those eyes!?!? :) ...
	Eloy ...Eloy is doing great! He is maneuvering around on the hardwood floors better(not slipping anymore) and I think he has realized that he can relax because this is a permanent home for him. He is a happy dog and loves to run in the park, he listens well. He is great to cuddle with...., I just love to have naps with him. He gives kisses and loves to get his nose kissed. He also loves toys and to stretch out on his lounge chair. ...
	Lucas & Chiquita ...Celeste and her husband adopted Chiquita (f/k/a/ "Petunia") a few months ago from Ecuador. When they heard about the Amigo Fiel shelter closing, they immediately offered to adopt Lucas....
	Finzi ...Caruzzo was rescued from the streets of Quito and spent a lot of time alone in a kennel. He was adopted by Mathew who has remaned him Finzi....
	Fritter and Frida ...Here are a few pictures of our babies… we sure do have a good time with them!!!!...
	Milo ...Mario is now Milo, but he is still the sweetest and cutest boy from Ecuador....
	Loiza ...Loiza is a Sato from Puerto Rico adopted two years ago. She had spent most of her puppy life as a stray roaming the beaches of Salinas, Puerto Rico. She still loves the beach, but now she goes sailing every summer in Long Island with her two moms who also love the beach and adore Loiza....
	Shadow ...Shadow, who is 12 years old but looks and behaves like a five year old, was pulled from the Brooklyn ACC euth list before Christmas. Look at him now in his new home. He is so precious and loved....
	Daisy Mae ...Daisy Mae came from a kill-shelter in South Carolina, where she faced certain death in a gas chamber with other dogs. She is gentle, smart, loving, responsive and especially good with children and other animals. After only two days she is learning her commands and is virtually house broken...
	Dino ...Dino loves to ride in the car. He knows that this means we are going for a nice hike. I can't wait until Thanksgiving when we drive to Michigan. Everyone is excited to meet our new baby boy. I recently took Dino and Bridget to Barktoberfest in Putnam Valley and was relieved to know that Dino is good with new dogs, adults and children....
	Lulu ...She has been a wonderful companion and worked out to be the greatest friend! She is so good and obedient. She doesnt really get along well with other dogs, but is great with people and children....
	Chubby ...Welcome home to our new dog, Chubby! She's a Bichon Frise + Poodle mix that we adopted from an animal shelter, Stray from the Heart. She's the best, sweetest dog!...
	Tiberius ... He really is the sweetest doggie ever and can never spend enough time cuddling in one of our laps. He's certainly taking up a bit more of my time these days because I'm trying to give him lots of exercise...
	Wilson ...we took him to the boys' baseball game yesterday. Played with a few dog friends. When we had dinner and later on finger food while watching the Yankee game, as a perfect dog...
	Tallulah ...I just want to say that we haven't stop talking about our experience meeting you and the other volunteers. Everyone was so pleasant, even the weather was great. Meeting some of the other doggies was great too but most dogs we meet are special and quick to love...
	Luisa ... I can't even tell you how amazing she is. She is blossoming, and is slowly coming out of her shyness, loves to cuddle in bed and go for long walks....
	Daisy ... Daisy is doing wonderfully- she just chased the poor UPS guy out the door (I guess she knew the package he had didn't contain any stuffed lobster toys for her or anything) and she is back to her playful (overly at times) self. ...
	Ramona ... I wanted to thank you for bringing my little Lulu and I together. I can't imagine life without her :)...

	Patsy Just some news from Hoboken. Patsy is great. She is still being treated for the mange, but is improving, and all her bare patches have new hair growth! She likes our apt and the neighborhood, and has some doggy friends from around town...
	Petra We really have fallen in love with her... She is an amazing dog with so much love to give. She is getting acquanted with friends and family and everyone loves her. I have been feeling so much happier since she has come into my life. ...

	Dino Finally, Dino has arrived! He traveled from Ecuador to New York City last Tuesday. His new home includes an apartment in SOHO, a house in Westchester County, two parents and a sister, lots of grass to play, trails and many, many new friends...
	Samantha Samantha has been really really good. She is totally in love with me (still a little strange with adults, even Tal, my boyfriend), but she is great with children and other dogs now!!! I take her to the dog run almost everyday so she is getting plenty of exercise and socialization. On the street, we always get compliments, especially when she shows off her kid-friendly skills to parents. People always comment on her ears, her disproportionally large paws, and her smile (yes, she does smile!). She is really quite good (and quirky) and we couldn't be happier...
	Daisy We pulled Daisy from death row literally minutes before her scheduled time. Here she is now with a wonderful home in Battery Park ...
	Maji Maji came from Ecuador a few months ago. Here is Maji with Sandra, her mom in Central Park, New York City and then with another friend, obviously enamored by her furry, doggy charms ...
	Sophie I just wanted to tell you how much I love this girl! She is such a gift, and she is bringing so much joy into every minute I spend with her. 	Dylan His mama was a 44 lbs Lab/Border Collie and Papa was an 88lbs Rottie mix. The most quiet and shy pup of a 7 puppy litter, he was very attached to his brothers and sisters. 	Lucita Just want you to know Lucita spent a great night in her new home. She was even nose to nose with one of the cats and didn't even give a hoot about her. My husband thinks she is wonderful and is very happy about the whole adoption...
	Mazie Mazie at her happy new home with her tired new parents...
	Maizie I've now had her for 5 months and it has brought me more joy than words can express. Though she started off shy and skittish, she has blossomed into quite a personality and wins over everyone she meets.....

	Mattie She is the sweetest dog ever and we love her to pieces. We had Romeo, another Stray from the Heart dog and pictured in some of the photos, for 6 weeks over the holidays while his parents were in Australia...
	Cain Cain is doing great. He's an amazing dog, so proud, so loving and so totally awesome with people, especially with children. While he'll roughhouse and play hard with adults, he is gentle to the opposite extreme with Ethan (who's just over 2 now) and Ethan's little friends...
	Maya This little pretty princess girl has finally found a forever home to call her own. We knew it would be easy......
	LuLu From time to time I always run into people with their dogs and they always compliment my beautiful LULU.......
	Izzy We took Izzy and our "puppy" (1.5 year old Golden) to Sandy Hook today. Much to Izzy's disappointment there were no dead fish to roll in, but she had a great time nonetheless......
	Rico and Bonita Merry Christmas to Rico and Pina (Bonita), who attended a chihuahua meetup last Saturday at the Happy Paws doggy daycare.......
	Pancho We have only had Pancho for two months but we feel like he has been with us forever. He was a year and four months when we adopted him and we were so surprised at how well he behaved and listened. From the minute we picked him up at the airport he won over our hearts......
	Rita Remember Margarita? She was the second dog to arrive from Ecuador summer 2006. She is now known as "Rita" and is enjoying the love and travel pleasures of life in America......

	Pitufa "Pitufa is one amazing dog. After some googling, we figured out that Pitufa is Spanish for Smurf. A more perfect name could not be found. She is the cutest, kindest, gentlest dog there ever could be. "....
	George "So....I was roaming around the Bronx, minding my own business, as happy as a dog can be eating out of garbage pails (which is pretty happy, mind you). But -- one day I was swooped up by an angel who promised to find me a HOME! I never thought I could be so lucky. It was comfortable, but confusing for a few weeks...and then along came Gerry, my new mom. Well, I'll tell you something -- comfort is great -- but LOVE! That's a whole different story!"....
	Gia "Gia is a wonderful, loving member of our family and we adore her. She is quite the personality -- I'm sure that eventually she will teach herself to talk. It's one of the only things she doesn't know how to do yet!"....
	Django Django (who used to be known as Skip) has settled in nicely at his new home. He eats heartily and is boundless in energy. His new family even has him on special vitamins to thicken his coat, but in the meantime are working on making him the best dressed dog in all of the area....
	Dudley "Dudley's new life is one any dog would dream of (if they were not always dreaming of juicy bones and filet mingnon). Dudley has a super time looking out for squirrels in the backyard and even barking at some of the neighbors. He absolutely loves his bed (which you see in the picture) and makes the most of his new life of luxury."...
	Essa "Essa is doing really well and everyone loves her dearly. Really, she is such a wonderful girl. She has learned to play a little and she loves to take long walks as much as we love taking her for them. She plays hard and sleeps hard, too - often hanging off her favorite surfaces. What a great dog she is."...
	Romeo "Just thought I would write to let you know that it is one year today since we got Romeo. We are giving him all sorts of treats for his anniversary - chicken for dinner, treats, lots of play-time in the paddling pool at the dog-run."....
	Charlotte "Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a wonderful puppy!"....
	Dulce Dulce is another of our Canine Amigo Ecua-dog success stories! This sweet and gentle girl was abandoned right after giving birth to a litter of puppies who were then sold in the streets of Quito, Ecuador.....
	Stuart Little "We met Stuart on Saturday night of Easter weekend and took him home with the idea of fostering him for a few days"....
	Collette "I went to petfinder to rescue a stray. When I saw Collette's picture with her smile, I knew I found my dog"....
	Kiki and Mala This fun loving mother/daughter team came into a family - and almost in an instant and gave them the most wonderful Christmas. ....
	Chester "Chester is a dream! He is by far the most handsome dog in the park, and turns heads wherever he goes. He has tons of doggy friends to play with, and even got to go on a doggie beach vacation! He especially loves hanging out with all his friends and play-fighting and hiking in the mountains with his human friends"....
	Cherrie Cherrie the Portuguese Warren Hound fought hard for her life. After several months of hospitalization, she survived a horrible bout with distemper that left her with seizures. With time, energy and great loving people to work very hard fighting for this little girl, she now has in an amazing home surrounded by love and happiness...
	Pelucho Pelucho, the Miniature Poodle from Ecuador who captured the heart of so many people around the U.S. arrived at the end of June. He was welcomed with open arms by Kathy and Salvador Ramos at Seatec Airport in Seattle, Washington.Kathy and Salvador are in their 50's, have a son in College, and lovely home with a big fenced yard and garden. Both are long-time animal lovers whose dog died a year ago. Kathy and Salvador sponsored Pelucho's trip to the U.S. More importantly, they are now provding Pelucho with the loving and stable home he so desperately longed for....
	Zach Zack (AKA "Sweet Pea") was adopted out over four years ago. His new family had just moved to Stone Ridge, NY, 90 miles north of the city onto a 72 acre property and had an big empty space not only on that vast lot of land, but in thier hearts that only a fluffy furball in need could fill...
	Jersey For every dog, there's a perfect home. The trick is bringing the two together. When it works, it's magic, and a dream comes true. One day in January, dreams came true for a little Stray named Jersey and the family of Vin, Freddie and Kate Scelsa.
	Stan Stan (formerly known as Bengi) - New home, new bones, new happiness! A fetch genius, Stan gets along with all other dogs and has a powerful non-yapping bark for his size. Since he learned the basics in two seconds flat, he is now moving on to fractions and ballroom dancing...
	Riley Prince Riley, a royal success. Sweet with eyes to swoon over, he is many a cute girl puppy's dream.
	Buddy Buddy was one of the rescues from the notorious Concourse Puppy World in the Bronx where he was caged 24/7. Like most of the Puppy World dogs, he came out of there not knowing how to walk and with a bad case of "cherry eye", but a great outlook on life. As well he should, he had a future that was opening wide before him. Buddy is now a happy, healthy and sweet boy. He is loved by his new family, spending his summer weekends at the beach. This summer he will even have the chance to learn to swim like his new "sister" Chloe.
	Zoey Zoey has been one of the best photographed of our happy adoptees. She has a forever home, where she is the happiest dog in the world.
	Gray If you like heroes, Gray is the dog to know. This Mastiff mix was found on Christmas Eve protecting four homeless puppies. Today, Gray's protection instinct still prevails as he protects and loves all those in his new family.
	Cowgirl & Jack Cowgirl & Jack are American Staffordshire Pit Bull Terrier littermates, who love other dogs and children. These two, out of an original litter of seven, are the sweetest puppies you will ever see, and now have finally found the loving home that they deserve.
	Snow Snow's new mom can't understand why anyone would give up on a beautiful girl like Snow, a beautiful, sweet Pomeranian Mix. But that's just what happened when Snow's neglectful owner decided she didn't have enough room in her life for this sweet and gentle dog. Now she has a new home with a new family and enough love to keep her warm throughout the coldest winters.
	Morty This beautiful purebred Shih Tzu is so sweet and cheerful, it's hard to believe he came from an abusive and neglectful home where "training" meant regular threats and beatings. Although he had to survive on little or no exercise or attention, today, Morty loves to play.
